The skills of the Warlock

The Warlock skill trees are separated into Affliction, Demonology and Destruction. Each tree gains several new skills when investing talent points into it. The Affliction Warlock will be able to learn Siphon Life, Curse of Exhaustion, Dark Pact, Unstable Affliction and Haunt. The Siphon Life skill drains health from the enemy and heals the Warlock in return. Curse of Exhaustion allows the Affliction Warlock to reduce the enemy's movement speed. The Dark Pact skill can only be used when a demon is active. It transfers mana from the summoned demon to the Warlock. Unstable Affliction is another attack skill that damages the enemy target and causes damage should it be dispelled. The Haunt skill deals damage and heals the Warlock in return for the damage dealt.

Demonology Warlock gain the Soul Link skill from their talent tree. This allows them to share any damage they take with their pet. The Fel domination skill greatly reduces the summoning time for any demon companion. Demoic Empowerment gives each type of controlled demon some special abilities for a short amount of time. The Summon Felguard skill allows the Demonology Warlock to summon forth a mighty Felguard that fights for the Warlock. The Metamorphosis skill enables the Demonology Warlock himself to turn into a powerful Demon.

Destruction Warlocks are able to train the new skills Shadowburn, Conflagrate, Shadowfury and Chaos Bolt. All of those skills are new spells that enhance the Warlock's offensive arsenal. Shadowburn is an instant attack that costs a Soul Shard but is also able to return a Soul Shard should the target die from Shadowburn or shortly after. Conflagrate allows the Warlock to consume an active Immolate or Shadowflame effect, dealing damage similar to the effect consumed. Shadowfury is an area of effect attack that deals damage to any enemy in its radius, stunning them in the process. The chaos bolt skill gives the Warlock a new ranged attack spell that is able to pierce through absorption effects and is unable to be resisted.
