The skills of the Rogue
The Rogue talent trees are separated into the categories Assassination, Combat and Subtlety. Talents in any of those trees enable several new skills for the Rogue. The Assassination tree enables the skills Cold Blood, Mutilate and Hunger for Blood. Cold Blood makes the next attack of the Rogue automatically critical hit. Mutilate is an instant attack with both weapons that does bonus damage if the target has been poisoned. The Hunger for Blood skill is a buff that increases all damage the rogue does by 15% if the target is bleeding.
Combat Rogues are able to learn the skills Riposte, Blade Flurry, Adrenaline Rush and Killing Spree via talents. Riposte can only be used after parrying an opponent's attack, so it isn't used much in instances. Blade Flurry increases the Rogue's attack speed by 20% and makes his attacks strike an additional target. Adrenaline Rush increases the Rogue's energy regeneration, making it the ideal candidate to be used in conjunction with the Blade Flurry skill. The Killing Spree skill allows the Rogue to attack multiple targets in rapid succession.
Subtlety Rogues gain the skills Ghostly Strike, Hemorrhage, Preparation, Premeditation, Shadowstep and Shadow Dance. Ghostly Strike and Hemorrhage are instant attacks taht award combo points to the Rogue. Preparation instantly finishes the cooldown on many Rogue skills, allowing the Rogue to Spring twice, for example. Premeditation adds two combo points to the Rogue's current target. This skill requires the Rogue to be stealthed, and the combo points need to be used within twenty seconds. Shadowstep clones the Charge skill, allowing the Rogue to bridge the gap to his enemy, reappearing behind them increasing the next attack's damage. The Shadow Dance skill allows the Rogue to use skills that require stealth while not being stealthed.
