The skills of the Druid
Balance, Feral Combat and Restoration are the three categories of the Druid's skills and talents. Each of those talent trees offers several new skills that can be learned when spending talent points in them. A Balance Druid will learn Insect Swarm, Moonkin Form, Typhoon, Force of Nature and Starfall. Each of those skills is important for the Balance Druid. Insect Swarm will deal damage over time to a target, reducing their chance to his with melee and ranged attacks. The Moonkin Form allows the Balance Druid to take on the form of a Moonkin, increasing his armor and mana regeneration while giving the group or raid an increased chance to score a critical hit with a spell. Typhoon and Starfall are area of effect damage spells that can be used to decimate large groups of enemies. Force of Nature summons three treants to attack enemy targets for 30 seconds.
Survival Instincts is the first active skill any Feral Combat Druid will learn, making them able to withstand large amounts of damage more easily. The Feral Charge skill allows the Druid to quickly get close to an enemy. Mangle is an instant attack skill that causes the target to take increased damage from bleed effects. The Bersekr skill makes the Druid immune to fear effects and increases his damage output.
Restoration Druids are able to learn several new skills from their talents. Nature's Swiftness allows them to turn a healing spell into an instant cast while Swiftmend is an instant cast spell that uses up an Heal over Time effect on the target. Tree of Life gives the Restoration Druid a new shapeshift form, reducing the mana cost of healing spells while giving the raid or group an aura that increases the healing received. Wild Growth is an area of effect healing spell, very similar to the Priest's Circle of Healing spell.
